1. Welcome & Attendees:
Michael opened the meeting at 8.35pm.

Attendees: 53 Members. 1 visitor
Apologies: Graeme Male, Evelyn Male, Les Yeaman, Mike Yerbury, Kevin Star, Doug Flack, Ross Edward,
Sharon Kontista, William Frew, Adam Greenwood.
Some news –
The Annual Rutherglen Rumble is on this Year. Sat 6th April ,A swap meet at 8.00am -4pm. Live music
from local band Lucy playing from 5pm. A Drive – in theatre from Sundown. (movie – Running on Empty)
Plenty of food available. Sunday will be the car bike show and shine meet. Most of the events will be held
at the Showgrounds. Tattoo judging and more. All funds raised on the day go to Gateway Health and
Rutherglen Ag Show.

2. Previous Minutes:
Minutes of the General Meeting dated 2024-02-27 as circulated via email & posted to the website.

3. Business Arising from Previous Minutes:
A. Membership Officer’s Report to be accepted from previous meeting. (2024-02-27)
4 new members – Overall 230 16 Unpaid.
Motion of Acceptance : David Lutton. Seconded – Pat Povolny. ALL IN FAVOUR. CARRIED.
B. Club person of the Year – awarded to Stewie Mclean closely followed by Sandy . Stewie away on
holiday could not receive trophy

C. Machine Examiners and Club Plate Registrations – By David Lutton

Paul Bullock -absent. To be discussed at next meeting.
David Lutton made in few comments – You must present your bike or Bikes in person to the Machine
Examiners, the vehicle needs to be physically sited in order to be passed by the examiner. The Examiners
will make that decision. Examiners are signing that your vehicle is Safe to ride. They are obligated to do
this correctly. If not done correctly – this could make them personally liable and affect the insurance of our
club. In the event of an accident this could create problems if not done by the book.
A document will be sent out to all members regarding this.

NOTE: VIC – Registrations are different from NSW registrations
Doug Flack VIC Examiner – Doug examines the VIC historic vehicle only once – (first registration only).
Renewals are signed yearly by our President, Secretary, or Treasurer.
The VIC Roads only allows 1 examiner from our Club to be authorized to examine VIC classic bikes
and 1 extra back up person.
As mentioned above A document will be sent out to all members regarding this.

Michael Sarroff – Michael focusing on how to utilise the website – Tonight – How to submit a Ride

8. Welfare Officer’s Report: Michael Yerbury, Welfare Officer – Apology absent tonight.
Ann Merbach – Updated us about Graeme Male. He is currently in Albury Base Hospital – moving to
Wodonga Rehabilitation soon. Our thoughts are with Graeme and Evelyn with his recovery.

9. Ride & Rally Report: Chair – Position vacant
John McInnes – 6 March – Whorouly Post Office and Café . 15 Bikes and 4 Club plated.
22/23/24 March – Lakes Entrance Ride (Overnighter) – Thank you to Neil Hillas for driving the back-up
vehicle. Friday – 6 Bikes , 3 with pillions, Some did Boat Cruises around lakes Entrance. Saturday – 9
bikes , 1 Sports Car and back up vehicle. Very enjoyable !
7 April -Neil Hillas – Mystery Ride ! ( Need someone to take defrib )
10th April – Glen Kimpton – Yack Pie Shop.
Non official Rides (These-NOT organised by our club )
1. 25 April – Anzac Poker Run
2. 26 April – Vintage Japanese Club – (Rex Beard)
Butterball rally report Neil Hillas – Butterball Rally. Date : 26/27 October 2024.
The Start and Finish will be at the Boomerang Hotel. Accommodation is available.
There will be 2 Rides –
Pre 70’s Motorcycles and Post 70’s. We will all meet at a location for Lunch.
Dinner will be at the Boomerang – Buffet Style. Trivia, Music etc.

Entry fee –
$65.00 – includes Rally Badge, Polo Shirt, Egg and Bacon Roll (for both mornings) There will be an Early
Bird Discount $10 (Payment before 24/09/24 )
We are looking for Sponsors.
More information to follow.
Michael would like to remind members about the club defibrillator, and we need members to volunteer to
carry it on the rides. Please make contact with Michael if you are able to carry the Defib/First Aid kit.

A. 26th April 2024 – Vintage Japanese Club – Rex Beard – OPEN TO ALL MAKES and Models. This event
is a special networking request by the Vintage Japanese Club towards our club and has been opened to all
our members for all makes and models. See NEWS section on the website.
