Each year, Club AWMEC honors our Machine Examiners for their unwavering commitment and invaluable support of our members with a special thank-you dinner. All members are warmly invited to attend (at their own expense).

Good evening, everyone, and welcome!
It’s wonderful to see so many members here tonight as we gather for a special purpose – to express our sincere gratitude and recognize the invaluable contribution of our club’s Machine Examiners.
As you know, the Albury Wodonga Motorcycle Enthusiasts Club is built on the passion and dedication of its members. We are an organization run entirely by volunteers. From the committee members managing our affairs to the sub-committees organizing rides and events, it’s the voluntary spirit that keeps our club thriving.
Tonight, we specifically want to shine a spotlight on a crucial group of volunteers: our Machine Examiners. Doug Flack (for Victoria), Tony Ryan, Mark Lennon, and Stewie McLean (for NSW) – your work is absolutely essential to the operation and integrity of our club, particularly regarding the Club Permit Schemes under VicRoads and RMS.
Your role requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a significant commitment of your personal time. You ensure our members’ bikes meet the necessary standards, liaising with the relevant authorities, and handling the necessary documentation – all done voluntarily. This isn’t a small task, and we know it takes time away from your own families, projects, and riding.
Your diligence ensures the smooth running of our permit schemes, allowing members to enjoy their classic and historic machines legally and safely. The club simply couldn’t function effectively without your expertise and willingness to step up.
The committee, and indeed all members, deeply appreciate the responsibility you shoulder and the professional way you carry out your duties. We understand the effort involved, and we don’t take it for granted. Your contribution exemplifies the spirit of enthusiasm and mutual support that makes AWMEC such a great club to be a part of.
So, tonight, on behalf of the entire Albury Wodonga Motorcycle Enthusiasts Club, I want to offer a huge, heartfelt thank you to our Machine Examiners for your dedication, your time, and your vital contribution throughout the year.
