Event Invitation: AWMEC “Come and Try” Target Shooting Day
Members of the Albury Wodonga Motorcycle Enthusiasts Club (AWMEC) are invited to a special “Come and Try” target shooting day hosted by the Albury Smallbore Rifle Club.
Discover the challenge and fun of target shooting in a safe and welcoming environment. You’ll have the opportunity to try:
- .22 Calibre Smallbore Rifle: Fired over 50 metres from a seated, bench-rested position.
- .177 Calibre Air Rifle: Fired over 10 metres from a supported position.
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, the 5th July 2025
- Time: 12:00 PM (Midday) – 4:30 PM
- Location: Albury Smallbore Rifle Club, 465 North Street, Albury (Located behind the JC King Netball Courts off David Street).
- Activities: Introduction to target shooting, practice time, and a friendly competitive element (details revealed on the day!).
- Cost: $35 per person. This includes range fees, all necessary equipment (rifles, targets), 25 rounds of .22 ammunition, air rifle pellets, a sausage sizzle lunch, and soft drinks.
- Voucher Holders: If you won a voucher at the Butterball Rally, the cost is reduced to $10 upon presentation of your voucher.
- Extra Ammunition: Additional .22 rounds available for $5.00 per 25 rounds, time permitting.
- What to Bring: Just your enthusiasm and keen eyesight!
Bookings Are Essential:
- Places are limited! To reserve your spot, please SMS the word “Shoot” followed by the number of people booking (e.g., “Shoot 1” for one person, “Shoot 2” for two) to the Club Mobile: 0493 624 120.
- Please RSVP so we can finalise catering and equipment.

Optional Pre-Event Ride:
- For AWMEC members interested in riding together beforehand, John K. will be meeting members at the BBB before 10:00 AM for a quick meetup. The group will depart at 10:00 AM for a ride before heading to the rifle range later. (This is separate from the main shooting event).

| We invite any club members who are interested in volunteering for this role, provided they are committed to ensuring the equipment’s safety, careful use, and timely return.
If you’re willing to volunteer as the defibrillator carrier for any upcoming rides, please introduce yourself to the Website Editor and the Ride Captain before the event. This will allow us to coordinate the logistics regarding the equipment effectively. |
