SATURDAY 23 AUGUST – THE RIDE OUT

Departure Time: Now 9.30 am ( was 10:00 am but, now 9.30 am )
Meeting Point: Barista, Baker & Brewer – 358 Wodonga Place, South Albury
Route: Still to be confirmed, but rest assured—it’ll feature some epic mountain roads!
Dinner Saturday Night: Peppercorn Hotel – John will send you the Menu for pre-orders.

SUNDAY 24 AUGUST – BBQ & MUSEUM VISIT

Morning: Anywhere you choose.
Depart: Ride departs from Yea Railway Station ( opps Peppercorn Hotel ), heading to the Cathedral of Moto Guzzi, 526 Ti Tree Road, Yea ( 15 minutes, 16.3 kms, from centre of Yea )
Cost: Pay $50 upon arrival, for the combined “Lunch & entry to the Museum”
Lunch: 11:00 AM ( Brought forward from 12 pm, so we can head home sooner )
Location: Teo Lamers’ Cathedral of Moto Guzzi museum
Hosted by: Grace Lamers (and trust us, this will be well beyond your average BBQ!)
What’s on Offer: A gourmet BBQ lunch followed by a guided tour of the legendary Cathedral of Moto Guzzi, featuring around 200 incredible motorcycles!

COST

$50.00 per person, covering both the BBQ lunch and entry to the museum.

TRAVEL BY BUS OPTION – BUS NOW CANCELED due to lack of numbers.

Club member Neil Hillas has generously offered to arrange a bus service to and from the event.

The size of the bus (and cost per passenger) depends on final numbers. Larger buses = lower cost per person.
As a rough guide, the round trip covers 500+ km—so the bus may offer excellent value.
If you choose this option, please commit, as last-minute cancellations may affect others and the Club’s planning.
Once numbers are confirmed, Neil will finalise the cost.

We invite any club members who are interested in volunteering for this role, provided they are committed to ensuring the equipment’s safety, careful use, and timely return. Please introduce yourself to the Website Editor and the Ride Captain before the event if you’re willing to volunteer as the defibrillator carrier for any upcoming rides. This will allow us to coordinate the logistics regarding the equipment effectively.

Negotiation and Consensus: Members are expected to engage in open and respectful discussions to determine the following: Ride Destination(s): Agree upon the desired destination(s) for the ride. Route: Determine the most suitable route(s) to the chosen destination(s), considering factors such as road conditions, rider experience levels, and overall safety. Ride Schedule: Establish a tentative schedule, including departure time, anticipated arrival time, and any planned stops. Ride Leader: Designate a temporary ride leader from among the participating members to assist in coordinating the group and ensuring safety. Safety First: All rides, regardless of whether led by a designated Ride Captain or organized by members, must adhere to the club’s safety guidelines and all applicable traffic laws.
