RIDE REPORT
“MYRTLEFORD” – Sunday 8 March 2026
Eight riders rolled up at the Baker, Barister & Brewer on Sunday morning, 8 March 2026.
They were mounted a wide range of motorcycles, including:
twin-cylinder machines from:
- Italy – Phil Stuckey’s Laverda 750 SF1
- Japan – Terry Gay’s Suzuki SV1000S
- USA – John Brown’s Harley Road King
- Germany – Alan Dance and John Kontista, each on a mighty BMW R1300 GS,
a three-cylinder machine from:
- England – Michael Yerbury’s Triumph Tiger 800
four-cylinder machines from:
- Japan – Nev Dorizzi’s Kawasaki Z900RS, and Rick Haidle’s Kawasaki ZZR1100
The group headed off through Bandiana, Kergunyah and Dederang, before having a short stop at Tawonga.
Then it was “up-and-down” the Tawonga Gap to Bright. It was a steady ride to the lunch stop at the Myrtleford Hotel. The hotel staff looked after us splendidly. Then the group returned home “at will” via shorter routes. This was “a top day”.
