Dear Butterball Rally Entrant,

We’re thrilled to have you on board for the 38th Annual Butterball Rally on October 24-25, 2026, at the Wodonga Services Club (2 Havelock St, Wodonga VIC 3690)!

To ensure you’re ready for an epic weekend of rides, camaraderie, and motorcycle glory, here’s the detailed agenda with updated route schedules and key information. Let’s get you prepped to hit the road!

• 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Check-In & Cooked Breakfast

  • Arrive at the Wodonga Services Club and head to the registration check-in table at the entrance to collect your entry envelope containing goodies, vouchers, and event details.

  • Park your motorcycle in the front car park, designated exclusively for entrants’ bikes. Group your bike by category: Best American, Best British, Best Japanese, Best European, or Best Other. Cars must park in the rear car park or on the street.

  • Show and Shine #1: Starts during breakfast. Cast your votes for the best bikes and submit your voting slips before the ride briefing.
    

• 9:30 AM: Riders’ Briefing

  • Our Road Captains will brief you on the day’s rides, using the Blinders Method for navigation. Due to limited volunteers, we won’t have corner marshals, so please review the route maps (attached below) to familiarize yourself with the turns.

  • Buddy Up! If you’re unfamiliar with the routes, please pair up with another rider during the briefing. Look out for each other to ensure no one gets lost—we’re a community, and we ride together!
    

• 9:45 AM : Thunder Run Send Off 

• The Long Ride and Short Ride depart separately from Wodonga Services Club
   
• The Long Ride (total 353 kms) will travel through beautiful scenery on the way to Walwa, for a rest/fuel/comfort stop
   
• The beautiful scenery will continue as the Long Ride heads to Tintaldra, and crosses the Murry River into New South Wales
   
• The Long Ride will continue through Tooma, then start rising in elevation, stopping at Tumbarumba Racecourse for Lunch (with catering provided by Tumbarumba Rotary Club)
   
• After lunch the Long Ride will head for home, via Munderoo, Lankeys Creek, and Holbrook for a rest/comfort stop
   
• Then it’s back to the Wodonga Services Club via the Hume Freeway
   
• Fuel stops:   →  Walwa 116 kms  →  Holbrook Ampol 160 kms  →  Wodonga 77 kms

• 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Check-In & Cooked Breakfast

• Return to the Wodonga Services Club for another cooked breakfast.
  

• 9:30 AM: Riders’ Briefing

• Get the lowdown on the Sunday ride route. If you’re unfamiliar with the route, buddy up with another rider to stay on track and ensure everyone makes it to Tallangatta together.
  

• 9:45 AM: Thunder-Run Send Off only one SUNDAY RIDE – the Pre-MotoGP Ride

•  The Sunday Ride (total 122 kms) will take into account more beautiful scenery, following the southern section of the Hume Weir; passing through Granya; and following the northern arm of the Hume Weir

• The Sunday Ride will end at the SS&A Club Albury, where Rally participants can enjoy coverage of the Australian MotoGP “on the Big Screen”

Key Reminders

• Buddy System: If you’re new to the routes, pair up with another rider during the briefings. Keep an eye out for each other to ensure no one gets lost—let’s keep the AWMEC community tight!

• Parking: Motorcycles in the front car park, grouped by category (American, British, Japanese, European, Other). Cars go to the rear car park or street.

• Entry Envelope: Collect it at the registration table upon arrival.

• Show and Shine Voting: Submit your voting slips before the ride briefings on both days.

• Blinders Method: Our Road Captains will lead the way. Study the routes in advance, as we have limited volunteers for corner marshalling.
