Who are we -
Founded in 1986
The AWMEC is a Albury-Wodonga based club formed in March 2015 for motorcycle enthusiasts living principally in the NSW Riverina and North East Victoria regions. Being a Motorcycle Enthusiast’s club, the club is open to ALL motorcycle enthusiasts, regardless of whether you have a veteran, vintage, classic or modern motorcycle.
The majority of the AWMEC’s foundation members have come from the Classic & Enthusiasts Motor Cycle Club of NSW Inc. (CEMCC) Albury/Wodonga branch & our links with the Sydney based club remain.
The AWMEC is a participation based club as we believe that the club will grow and prosper through the engagement of all members in Club activities at some level. To assist in achieving this the Club has a minimum participation requirement for members accessing conditional registration through the AWMEC
(see the Club Operating Rules for more information).
Monthly Meetings -
Monthly meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of every month at the German Austrian Australian Club in Wodonga.

We start to meet from 5.30pm for an 7.30pm start. Dinner is also available at the GAAC club prior to meetings from 6pm.
(December & public holiday meeting dates may vary from the above).
New members are encouraged to attend and will be warmly greeted.
Rides -
The club holds regular rides, usually on Sundays leaving from Australia Park, South Albury (opposite the BP service station).
Departure times are normally 9 or 10am but may vary so check with the current Ride Calendar for details.
Rides vary from fairly short local rides (primarily for older or smaller bikes) to full day rides around the region which offers a host of great day rides.
Occasionally we hold weekend rides & other events such as rallies (annual event held in November), displays, show & shine events & involvement in community events.
AWMEC has links with other like minded clubs & receives invites to some of their rides, rallies & events.
Meetings, rides & other events allow members & visitors to share Tips & Technical Ideas and have fun on two (or three) wheels and socialize with like minded people.
The AWMEC is an authorised club for both the Victorian Club Permit Scheme (CPS – for Victorian based motorcycles 25 years & over) and the NSW Historic conditional Registration Scheme (HCRS – for NSW based motorcycles 30 years & over).
The AWMEC's purpose -
The AWMEC’s purpose as summarised from our constitution includes;
• Sponsoring and encouraging riding, racing, restoration, preservation, use and display of classic and historic motorcycles and engaging in tours, exhibitions and other events suitable for classic and historic motorcycles and motorcycle enthusiasts.
• Providing members with access to the conditional registration scheme in Victoria and NSW and participation in events suitable for conditionally registered vehicles.
• Organizing and conducting social and informative events for members and their friends and also conducting activities with a charitable or community purpose.
