2023-06-12 Walla Walla Show and Shine – Ride Report

AWMEC members braved the cold, wintery elements to venture out to Walla Walla Showgrounds for the 2023 Walla Show & Shine. Club President Michael Sarroff and his wife Joanne (she’s tough!) showed commitment by braving the cold conditions, and riding to the event on Michael’s H-D Fat Boy.

Club members Rex and Colin entered their motorcycles. Rex had his CB350F road-bike on display, as well as his CB350F racer (with Z1 carbs!). Colin showed his CB1100R (see photos of both motorcycles).

Rex took out the “Best Jap Bike”, and received a beautiful trophy (see photos). Well done, Rex. Colin must have been a very close second: his Honda CB1100R looked like it just came off the showroom floor!

A Triumph T160 Trident took out the “Best British Bike” award (see photo). There were a number of very flash Harley-Davidson motorcycles on display.

An impressive number of cars were entered. A selection of car photos are added for your entertainment. Perhaps the crowd favourite was a very sleek convertible (see photo of 1960’s era cream-and-orange Skoda Felicia).
