Thowgla Valley Fire Brigade
Demonstration of the new quick – Fill pumps and standpipes – setting up vital fire fighting equipment for the safety of our community.
Standing amongst the burnt out hills surrounding our valley this afternoon it was with great pride and excitement that the Thowgla Valley Fire Brigade community and local farmers/residents welcomed members of the Albury Wodonga.
Motorcycle Enthusiasts Club and our local region for a demonstration of our three new portable quick fill pump units and stand pipes.
When faced with the devastating fires that hit our valley over the Christmas/New Year period of 2019/2020 local’s struggled to find a quick and safe means to access water to refill our tanks and then get back to fight the fire front.
These units will prove ‘invaluable from now and into the future; all made possible from the kind support and donations of such groups and TncrivTdualso
